Sippy time?
Today I put Leiland in his High Chair to play while I did the dishes and I knew he needed to poop (he always poops when sitting in one of his chairs). I had some milk in a bottle in the fridge that needed to be tossed soon, so i decided to see how he reacted to a sippy cup. He still doesn't like the bottle so I assume a sippy will be a problem with the time comes. I have several kinds and first tried this Nuk one
We tried this one first with water just to see how he did, and he didn't bother trying to suck on it, but like I've stated he doesn't like to even suck on his bottle. I tried it just to see how bad it was, and holy smokes it was tough for me.
Next we tried this one that is a hard plastic spout but it have a rubber valve that I could remove. Ill have to take a pictures because I can't find it online. Anyway, I was tilting it for him so it would dribble into his mouth and he loved it. He swallowed most of it with a few times just ending in dribbled down his chin. He even put his hands on it to help me tilt it back for him. He drank/ drooled 2 ounces of expressed breastmilk. By the end he was tired and just done with it, so we stopped and got ready for bed, but I was so happy to see how well he took it even when he was tired and hungry. I'm going to try and do this either every day or every other to get him used to it. He didn't seem to mind the texture of the hard plastic as he did with the silicone style nipple. He also liked chewing on it, because right now he chews on everything.
I realize he is too little to use a sippy yet, however if its possible to fill his belly in a way other than being attached to me, its good to have in case I do need to be gone.
Getting So BIG!
Leiland is growing but I won't say its too fast or anything. I've been enjoying it all so it doesn't feel like its flying by. Yes it goes fast, but I am enjoying it and taking it all in.
He loves being in the sitting position so I started sitting him in his boppy. He seems more comfortable and in control in there as opposed to the bumbo chair.
He is also beginning to lift his body up more when he is on his belly. He has been great with his head, but doesn't always like his arms underneath him
This is just for fun, loving his nightly bath, and then there is Geppetto so confused about how to get to his buddy when he is surrounded by water. SO funny

Another explosion

We had another massive explosion. I had Leiland in the bumbo chair tonight on the counter while I washed some toys of his. I heard a couple grunts and knew he pooped. When I pulled him out (like last time) I was shocked by the amount and location of his poop. He completely filled the diaper and it continued out the back and down the chair.
I couldn't lay him down to change because poop would end up everywhere so I went to the bath. I stripped him and the diaper but then had to rinse all the poop down before filling the tub for a bath. Took forever and man what a mess. But Leiland enjoyed his mid day bath.
Before removing him I drained most the water and put him on his belly. He immediately rolled to his back. I tried again and he got mad. Either way it was cute.

Giving Kisses
I can't believe he is already giving kisses. He stands on my belly and when I ask for kisses he bends over wide mouthed and nails it right on the lips. He did this for at least 7-10 minutes this morning over and over. He has been opening when I offer kisses but today he was giving me kisses. I feel like this is super early for this, but its so stinking cute to do. And of course he drools ALL OVER me. I've noticed he does this with the dogs and cat too, I just assume its him putting everything in his mouth to explore it more, but for me when I am in front of him its kisses no doubt.

Yesterday Leiland rolled from his back to his belly. Took him a few minutes because he didn't seem interested but he did it all by himself and was happy to just lay there. He has rolled from his belly to his back, but only if I put his hands up under him. Although he sleeps on his belly and has great neck and head control, he doesn't like put push up on his arms any. Thats ok though. I will try to get a video of it soon.

Loving his bath

Hold his head up so well
Then we get tired and eat the couch or hands
Massive poops
He does this thing in the swing and bouncy and pushes towards a sitting position. I took a pic then pushed him back because I thought he might fall out

And done for the day
Liking the moby again
Loves his animals, blanket, and fists

3 Month Update
So 3 months and it already feels like he's turning into a little boy. Leiland is 15 pounds and 23 3/4 inches long. He is in size 3 diapers and just starting to wear 6-9 month clothes. He still refuses the bottle and pacifier and after 3 months of trying I think I'm done. It sucks but I can't force him. He is still taking meds for reflux and the previcid her was prescribed last month is working better than the zantac was but he may need an increased dose because he's been puking more.
He is starting to be easier to read and know what he wants which really helps keep him from being to fussy. His current schedule all day is sleep 38-45 minutes, awake for an hour, and repeat. Bedtime is typically between 6-830 at night and he is usually up at 6am with on feeding in there. He is in his crib at night on his belly with a noise machine playing ocean waves. Sometimes between 2-4 am he gets restless so I will bring him to my bed but it doesn't help a ton.
Let's see- he still loves his monkey mobile, now loves his jumperoo, likes the swing more, loves the exercise ball, the stroller, and stuffed toys. Any time you give him a blanket or stuffed toy he brings it to his mouth. He's also getting good with those hands and loves baths so much these days.
Some new things he does these days is put toys in his mouth, pet the dogs, small giggles, kicks like crazy, and fights sleep OH SO BAD.
